Abel Mendoza Monge è un'azienda fondata nel 1988. Si trova nella città di San Vicente de la Sonsierra, una città nel quartiere Haro di La Rioja Alta. Abel Mendoza Viura è un vino bianco della Rioja prodotto da questa cantina. È l'unica varietà di Viura.
Le uve provengono da viti di 30 anni e furono piantate e coltivate su terreno argilloso-calcareo. Dopo la vendemmia, il vino viene fatto fermentare in botti nuove di rovere francese e poi affinato sui lieviti per quattro o cinque mesi.
Alla vista si presenta di colore giallo intenso e luminoso. Ha una grande intensità aromatica che evidenzia le note floreali e la frutta in primo piano. Tutto ciò combinato con sfumature ben integrate di sentori legnosi, balsamici e di erbe selvatiche. Questo vino si distingue per la sua eccellente acidità e per il finale setoso, piacevole e lungo.

I usually like the Viura, and in 2021 it's not different. I love the austerity, seriousness, elegance and subtleness of the 2021 Viura, produced with grapes from individual vines found in the different old vineyards and intermixed with the reds in the field. I love the purity, precision and symmetry, the vibrant and lively palate and the depth and pungency that mixes aromatic herbs with incredible freshness. This has to be the finest. It should make old bones. 2,734 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2022.
Great wine - crazy powerful colour but found the taste to be buttery and long. Wow - wine words - but that is how it was - really nice second burst in your mouth. Just bought another case before March 29th when I wont be allowed to have it any more.

Lovely big white Rioja
I really enjoyed this lovely big flavoursome wine. A great alternative to a good white burgundy. I had the Viura grape and have now ordered more, trying the other three white grape varieties.

Un viura de Rioja sublime.
Encontrar el balance en un vino blanco, donde la madera no tienda a tapar el carácter varietal, es lo más difícil. En este vino este balance es sencillamente perfecto.

Vino estructurado pero no muy complejo
Se le nota el carácter y el viura, pero para mi gusto, le faltan matices que lo hagan más interesante. Demasiado seco y directo.
